Windows 10 upgrades are available as a free update thru 07/29/2016 – Test before upgrading!
The latest version of Windows, Windows 10, can be deployed as a free Windows Update to licensed Windows 7 and 8.1 devices. It has been available since July 29th, 2015. The update will remain free for roughly 4 more months.
Starting this week, we have been hearing reports from non-managed service clients that Windows 10 is installing without any approval. This has also made the news recently. PCMAG – Reports of Windows 10 unprompted upgrades
We recommend programmatically disabling the update on your business PC’s until you test that your applications work with the new Operating System.
