On February 24, 2018, Business Machine Technologies (BMT) took part in the Polar Plunge at Seaside Heights, NJ.  Several employees of the company jumped into the 40 degree water, raising more than $9,500 in donations for Special Olympics New Jersey.

“We jumped into this plunge with full force, exceeding our fundraising goal by several thousand dollars”, said Matt “Beluga” Pellitteri, Vice President of BMT and Official Team Captain.  “The event proved to be a great team experience while benefitting a tremendous cause.  We are proud to support the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey”.

The Seaside Polar Plunge is an annual event that this year brought approximately 7,000 participants to the frigid Atlantic waters, raising over $2.0 million for Special Olympics New Jersey.  Celebrating 25 years, this event has challenged thousands of brave jumpers from around the state.  All funds raised go towards programming and events for more than 25,000 athletes statewide.
